NOTE: These Hinson components are NOT black! It is typically in the charcoal gray color range, but occasionally can appear as more of a bronze or champagne.
The process is different than hard-anodize and is actually colorless and not dyed like a typical anodizing process. Subtle variations along the manufacturing process contribute to differences in the finished "color" from one batch of parts to the next, such as different batches of the raw aluminum stock that was used to machine the parts.
